Beer at the Post Office

This week : Beer at the Post Office
This nice stack of empty beer bottles was taking in Trstenik Croatia. We stopped there for a night on my Contiki sailing cruise of the area last year. It really is a very small town, but totally awesome. The info office and post-office where in the same building right next to the only store in town I saw. This stack of bottles were waiting patiently to be picked up and replenished.
It is such an odd picture, but brings back great memories of that evening and walking around the town, sitting on the steps with friends drinking beer as the sun went down.
Links for the Week:
I enjoyed doing the Writer’s Block links on Monday last week, so I decided to try to integrate them into the photography Wednesday. Here we go.
Perserverance – Writing – Passion : Budget Travel Intentions.
Jeremy writes about the passion and fulfillment of writing. He discusses how having passion helps support you in the long road of practice to becoming a better writer.
Breakfast Classics : The Pancake : Inn the Kitchen
Ran across Inn the Kitchen through random Twitter chatter. I know it isn’t a travel link, but really pancakes mean family to me. I need to try this recipe.
8 Alternative Evening Activities : Boots ‘n’ All
Great list with pictures of things to do in the evening that aren’t drinking and dancing.
10 Common Study Abroad Myths : Go Overseas
I like this list, although I would say they are mostly worries and counter arguments rather than myths. Study abroad was my first step into travel, so it still has a special place in my heart.
Trapped in-between Cultures : Wandering Trader
Marcello writes about growing up between several different cultures and how this has affected his adult travel life. I like the computer reboot metaphor at the bottom.
